This is a very good mount for full sized pistols. Locks securely to the mounting rail forward of the trigger guard to facilitate mounting a red dot sight or scope over the slide. Rail on bottom of mount allows for light or laser mounting. May not sit level on compact framed pistols. Needs a full length rail to lock onto.
